We are in full Christmas decorating mode here at home and it's been so wonderful! Don't you just love this time of year? When things can be made extra pretty? I do! Throughout the year my hubby has been busy making the most beautiful display coffee tables out of old windows, and the one that he made for us, we decided to make into a 'vintage' Christmas display together.
It was so inexpensive and simple and we're really happy with the way it turned out!
Here's what we used ...
- printed Christmas scenes that we thought were very vintage and adorable
- a red Christmas table runner and
- some vintage style decorations that we already owned
Simple!
We trimmed the printed images and then arranged them under the glass, on top of the laid out table runner, along with the decorations.
The two children looking in the shop window is just so gorgeous! |
Anything that is vintage and inexpensive is great for me! I really enjoy making something beautiful using what I already have on hand. Maybe if you don't have a coffee table you could do this idea with a Christmas paper wrapped cork board, or as a collage in a picture frame (with the decorations around the outside edge)?
Our children enjoyed looking at all the images and helping make something beautiful for Christmas too.

I hope you're enjoying decorating your home for this beautiful Christmas season!

DeleteOh! My! I just loved watching you set up this coffee table. The beauty of it is that you can change it with the seasons. So lovely too. Maybe that's why the Lord's given us seasons so we can enjoy the newness of life in the newness of the seasons. Awesome. Thank you for encouraging me.
ReplyDeleteHello Christine! I'm so glad you enjoyed seeing the table! Before it was filled with Christmas pretties, I had it set up with nature treasures, that looked beautiful too. The seasons are so wonderful. I'm glad you're encouraged here.
